Life and Style Retail Limited (in administration) ("the Company")
On 9 June 2011 the Company entered administration and Simon Bonney, Peter Hughes-Holland andTom MacLennan were appointed as Joint Administrators. The appointment was made by the Company's secured creditor under the provisions of paragraph 14 of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986.
Purpose of administration
The purpose of the Administration is to realise the Company's assets for the benefit of its creditors. The Joint Administrators intend to enable the Company to continue to trade whilst seeking a buyer for all or p arts of the business.
Whilst in administration, the Joint Administrators are ultimately responsible for the Company. However, the existing management team will remain responsible for the day-to-day running of the Company.
Business as usual
Life and Style Retail Ltd has not ceased to trade and customers will be able to continue shopping at the Company's stores across the UK.
Changes to store refunds and customer vouchers - update 9 June 2011
Following our appointment as administrators on 9 June 2011, the following changes to the way in which we administer refunds and customer vouchers have been put in place with immediate effect:
· Goods purchased prior to 9 June 2011 are only eligible for a like for like exchange, up to the value of the goods.
· Goods purchased from 9 June 2011 onwards:
We will only give refunds on goods which:
· are faulty or not of satisfactory quality or
· are not fit for the purpose for which they were sold
· and are returned within 14 days.
If goods are returned for any other reason, refunds or exchanges will be at the discretion of the management.
Any request for redress must be accompanied by a valid receipt or other proof of purchase.
Please remember you are not entitled to a refund if:
· you have simply changed your mind
· you have damaged the goods after you have purchased them or,
· you were aware of any defect prior to purchase
This does not affect your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended)
· No new vouchers will be available for purchase
· Existing vouchers will not be accepted as a method of payment until further notice
